BodyShop Buys

I have never thought of buying makeup from the Body Shop before until I walked passed their shop one day and noticed they were doing a 3 for 2 offer on all of their cosmetics. I have heard good things about the BB cream and the famous Honey bronzer so I thought why not and had a little splurge; so I thought I would share with you all what I purchased.

FACE POWDER

I first bought the Body Shop All in One Face Base powder in 03 which is THE perfect shade for me! It is quite full coverage and makes my skin look flawless at only £14.00. I love to lightly dust this over my face if im wearing a light coverage foundation or even use the sponge that comes with it on its own as a powder foundation and it is A-MA-ZING

The powder comes in silver mirrored packaging then splits into two compartments; one with the powder itself then above there is a section with a sponge applicator. The middle part (the lift up compartment) also has a reasonably sized mirror so you can apply it on the go which is always handy. The only downfall is the mirrored packaging in my opinion as it gets grubby and dirty very easily.

The product is extremely pigmented (as shown in the picture above) and gives your skin that extra coverage without looking too cakey. I would definately compare this powder to the MAC studio fix powder as it has the same consistency and coverage and also the packaging is also identical. So if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to mac then I would definately go check this product out

BB CREAM

The next product I purchased was the Body Shop All in one BB cream which has been highly raved about in the blogging world over summer. As I am going away soon I was looking for a BB cream to wear in the evening as I don't want to pile on the foundation and this one is perfect at only £12.00

The product starts off as a white cream as shown in the first image and when blended turns into your skin giving slight coverage. This product has great coverage in comparison to a tinted moisturiser and a tiny dot can cover your whole face so it will last you a long time. I love the finish it gives as it has a slight dewy look which is perfect for my holiday so I can't wait to wear this!

BRONZER

The final product I bought was the Famous Honey Bronzer and now since I have it, I can't imagine my life without it- no exaggeration I have literally wore it everyday since buying it and it's only £13.00. The packaging is beautiful, i love the brown colour and the large mirror that comes with it which is always good when your on the go. The powder itself also has that honeycomb pattern which i think is a cute touch

The product is a beautiful light natural colour and is completely matt so it literally just looks like you have a tan. I like to apply this lightly all over my face and then apply it in the hollows of my cheeks for a natural everyday contour. I have wore this everyday for a week now and it still looks brand new. I know that this is a product that I will continue to repurchase and won't stop loving.

I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and if you love them as much as i do, also please recommend me some other Body Shop goodies that you have discovered as i have now fallen in love with the shop and want to buy more!!

Bargain Falsies

False eyelashes can really pull together a make up look and make your eyes really pop, so although some people hate the look of false eyelashes i give them the big thumbs up! *puts thumbs up*
Due to my tiny eye shape; extremely thick extravagant lashes just make me look like a clown so for over a year now i have stuck to what i know and wore the Cheryl Cole lashes by Eyelure. There lashes are so natural looking with a clear band making it look like your not even wearing false lashes.  Although i still love those lashes and they will always be a favourite of mine, i decided to go on the hunt for some fuller looking lashes and where else did i find them? in PRIMARK yes primark.

When browsing through the makeup section in primark i came across all of the false eyelashes all for a tiny £1! after spending at least £5 on one pair of Eyelure lashes it seemed stupid to not try out a pair for that cheap. There was a wide range and i first opted for the "Natural" lashes, however in comparison to the sultry ones they looked mush thicker so in the end i went for the sultry ones- and im glad i did. Not only did i buy one pair, i bought 3 pairs- so if i hated them then i could hate them three times as much (great logic i know)

These are now my go-to lashes for parties and special events as they are so thick yet still quite natural looking and I will keep my everyday lashes as my Eyelure Cheryl Cole ones. Not only do these Primark lashes look great but they apply so easily too! However, I have not got on with the glue included so I would recommend using the glue from other false eye lashes packets if you want your lashes to stay on all day without one of the ends popping up or coming loose

If you wear False eyelashes or are looking to buy some then definitely check out the selection in your local Primark as they are one of the best pairs I have tried- and for £1 what have you got to loose? Let me know if any of you have tried out any lashes from Primark or if you have any other false eyelash brands you could recommend I would love to try them out!

Quick Fix Facials Review

I have always had troubles with my skin all the way through my teens and it was only recently that i have found what the problem was. I have very dry skin which i've always knew but it was not till recently that i found out that that was the reason that my skin appeared red and blotchy in areas- due to it being so dry. After that ive used so many heavy moisturisers and hydrating face masks in order to get my skin rehydrated.

In the beginning i thought that forking out lots of money to get the best skin care was the only way to improve it, and dont get me wrong the Origins drink up intensive is a life saver and has completely improved my skin. However recently i have been testing some cheaper drugstore alternatives to see if they are just as effective at a more affordable price and boy am i glad i did!! While browsing in my local boots i found the Quick Fix Facial face mask range for around £3.00 a tube its a complete steal.

This product comes in a range for all different skin types from acne prone skin to oily to extremely dry. Obviously i went for the one for dry skin and i would recommend it so any other dry skin sufferers as it is a skin saver and nearly as good as the Origins one at a fraction of the price.

The product is a thick consistancy that you apply thickly to the skin and leave on for around 10 minutes. When on the skin the product feels so refreshing and hydrating that i never want to take it off. The thing that i like most about this product is that it does not harden up to the point of not being able to move your face which i never enjoy. The product is easy to wash off and since it is clear it does not stain any cloth or towel you use unlike a mud mask or coloured mask that does.
I have not tried any of the other ones from the range as they dont match my skin type but if they are anything like the one for dry skin i would definately try them out!

Let me know if any of you have tried out this product and loved it as much as i did, especially the other face masks from the range as i would love to give them a try!
