Liebster Award- Part 2

So although i have already done this tag, I have been nominated again by the lovely Evelyn and Sarah From Fashiontroverts and the Beautiful Sarah from Sarah-Louisa - Thank you so much girlies. Both sets of questions the girls set on their blogs were too interesting and fun to not answer so i thought i would do another Liebster Award post.

Questions from Fashiontroverts

1. If you had the chance to live any where in the world, where would it be?
Thats a hard one, ever since i was little i have dreamed of living in Australia when i am older- i dont know how it came about or why i chose it but my mind is set on it. However recently i have really wanted to live in New York or London as the atmosphere is amazing and its great for the field of work i want to persue.
2. If you were given a one thousand dollar gift card that could be used in only one store, what store would it be?
Im going to cheat on this one and say a department store like Debenhams or Selfridges as they have so many different make up brands that i have a wide variety. Also i find it much harder splurging one an item of makeup than a piece of clothing so i would spend it on that.
3. What's your favourite line from a Movie?
"Ohana means family; Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten" Lilo and Stitch
4. What's one thing about yourself that you'd want to improve?
I am going to steer away from physical appearance things as i couldn't pick so i am going to go for my condifence or my possitivity as i tend to be quite negative and hard on myself which is something i definatel need to improve on.
5. What's your favourite season to dress for?
This is tricky as i love autumn/fall fashion as they are so cosy and the colours are beautiful and i love the look of layering, however, that style does not suit me as i am so short that baggy layering pieces make me look frumpy and even shorter so i will probably go for summer clothes as i love how simple and colourful it is.
6. If you could raid anyone's wardrobe, who's would it be and what item would you take?
Probably Blake lively, Mollie King or one of the Kardashians. They are my style icons and i love the way they dress. i would definitely take a pair of shoes or handbag as i can just tell they would be A-MA-ZING
and definitely out of my price range
7. If you had to choose one style for the rest of your life to rock what would it be?
Probably very classic and minimal, it would definately be monochrome and quite chic as i feel that can look amazing in the day and night and black can never go out of fashion.
8. If you could create your perfect bedroom, what themes/vibes would you incorporate into it?
I LOVE this question and got far too into it as designing and organising my room is one of my favourite things to do. i change my mind when it comes to my room and theme all the time but at the moment i am loving light grey and stripes, i would also add some tartan into it as i love that this time of year. it would be quite basic; very chic and classic.
9. What's one of your pet peeves?
I have a few so it would be hard to pick one but one of my main ones is when people dont listen as i hate having to repeat myself- i dont know why but its always bugged me when i've had to repeat myself (weird i know) haha
10. What's one thing you love that most people you know seem to hate?
I dont really think there is anything in particular, theres nothing that i love that is out of the ordinary.

Questions from Sarah-Louisa

1. What is your favourite high end and drugstore make up brand and why?
High end would have to be MAC as i love their lipsticks and eyeshadows and everything really haha. For drugstore i would have to go for L'Oreal or Bourjois as they are such good quality at such an affordable price.
2 .What is your most loved wardrobe staple?
It would definitely have to be my trusty leather jacket, i have had it for years and it has never worn out or gone out of style, i know for a fact that i have got my moneys worth from that jacket and don't know what i would do without it- sad i know
3. Who are your favourite bloggers?
I have so many that i love and get excited whenever they put up a new post, some of my all time favourites are; Viviannadoesmakeup, Lily Pebbles, Megsboutique and Emstalks
4. What are your blogging goals for this year?
I don't really have a goal; probably just to continue to post frequently and keep loving it as much as i do as it is such a fun hobbie that is actually quite beneficial- its a win win haha
5. If you could change your name to anything, what would it be?
I used to hate my name with a passion and want to change it all the time, everyone says i look like a Chloe or a Charlotte so maybe one of them?
6. Who is your style icon?
Definately either Blake Lively (for evening wear) and Mollie King (for everyday fashion) they both dress beautifully and i envy them so much
7. If you could meet anyone famous (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
This question was far to hard to answer as there is so many haha
8. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
The friendly community; i love when people comment on my posts and interact with me or compliment my efforts- it makes blogging so much more worth while and rewarding and leaves me with a smile on my face at the end of the day
9. What is your favourite movie?
That is such a hard one! Probably any Disney movie- Lady and the Tramp is one of my favourites or i love "A walk to remember" its a classic and i cry every time without fail. if you have not watched that movie i would definitely recommend it and can guarantee you will love it as much as i do.
10. What is your favourite thing to do on a day off?
nothing, literally NOTHING, if i have had a hard week studying and working i will just want to laze around and not even move to get dressed. However sometimes i am feeling energetic on my days off and like to spend it shopping or having a nice catch up with friends as i dont get to see them often
11. What is/are your holy grail make up product(s)?
Definitely my L'Oreal True Match foundation and Collection Lasting perfection concealers, i have to repurchase these the second they begin to run out, i looove them!

As this is my second edition of this tag i have missed out the 11 facts about me and nominating other bloggers as i have already done that in my first Liebster Award post. So if you have not been tagged and want to do this post then i nominate you and please comment saying you have done it (using my questions on my first post) and your blog links and i will go have a look!!

BodyShop Buys

I have never thought of buying makeup from the Body Shop before until I walked passed their shop one day and noticed they were doing a 3 for 2 offer on all of their cosmetics. I have heard good things about the BB cream and the famous Honey bronzer so I thought why not and had a little splurge; so I thought I would share with you all what I purchased.

FACE POWDER

I first bought the Body Shop All in One Face Base powder in 03 which is THE perfect shade for me! It is quite full coverage and makes my skin look flawless at only £14.00. I love to lightly dust this over my face if im wearing a light coverage foundation or even use the sponge that comes with it on its own as a powder foundation and it is A-MA-ZING

The powder comes in silver mirrored packaging then splits into two compartments; one with the powder itself then above there is a section with a sponge applicator. The middle part (the lift up compartment) also has a reasonably sized mirror so you can apply it on the go which is always handy. The only downfall is the mirrored packaging in my opinion as it gets grubby and dirty very easily.

The product is extremely pigmented (as shown in the picture above) and gives your skin that extra coverage without looking too cakey. I would definately compare this powder to the MAC studio fix powder as it has the same consistency and coverage and also the packaging is also identical. So if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to mac then I would definately go check this product out

BB CREAM

The next product I purchased was the Body Shop All in one BB cream which has been highly raved about in the blogging world over summer. As I am going away soon I was looking for a BB cream to wear in the evening as I don't want to pile on the foundation and this one is perfect at only £12.00

The product starts off as a white cream as shown in the first image and when blended turns into your skin giving slight coverage. This product has great coverage in comparison to a tinted moisturiser and a tiny dot can cover your whole face so it will last you a long time. I love the finish it gives as it has a slight dewy look which is perfect for my holiday so I can't wait to wear this!

BRONZER

The final product I bought was the Famous Honey Bronzer and now since I have it, I can't imagine my life without it- no exaggeration I have literally wore it everyday since buying it and it's only £13.00. The packaging is beautiful, i love the brown colour and the large mirror that comes with it which is always good when your on the go. The powder itself also has that honeycomb pattern which i think is a cute touch

The product is a beautiful light natural colour and is completely matt so it literally just looks like you have a tan. I like to apply this lightly all over my face and then apply it in the hollows of my cheeks for a natural everyday contour. I have wore this everyday for a week now and it still looks brand new. I know that this is a product that I will continue to repurchase and won't stop loving.

I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and if you love them as much as i do, also please recommend me some other Body Shop goodies that you have discovered as i have now fallen in love with the shop and want to buy more!!

Bargain Falsies

False eyelashes can really pull together a make up look and make your eyes really pop, so although some people hate the look of false eyelashes i give them the big thumbs up! *puts thumbs up*
Due to my tiny eye shape; extremely thick extravagant lashes just make me look like a clown so for over a year now i have stuck to what i know and wore the Cheryl Cole lashes by Eyelure. There lashes are so natural looking with a clear band making it look like your not even wearing false lashes.  Although i still love those lashes and they will always be a favourite of mine, i decided to go on the hunt for some fuller looking lashes and where else did i find them? in PRIMARK yes primark.

When browsing through the makeup section in primark i came across all of the false eyelashes all for a tiny £1! after spending at least £5 on one pair of Eyelure lashes it seemed stupid to not try out a pair for that cheap. There was a wide range and i first opted for the "Natural" lashes, however in comparison to the sultry ones they looked mush thicker so in the end i went for the sultry ones- and im glad i did. Not only did i buy one pair, i bought 3 pairs- so if i hated them then i could hate them three times as much (great logic i know)

These are now my go-to lashes for parties and special events as they are so thick yet still quite natural looking and I will keep my everyday lashes as my Eyelure Cheryl Cole ones. Not only do these Primark lashes look great but they apply so easily too! However, I have not got on with the glue included so I would recommend using the glue from other false eye lashes packets if you want your lashes to stay on all day without one of the ends popping up or coming loose

If you wear False eyelashes or are looking to buy some then definitely check out the selection in your local Primark as they are one of the best pairs I have tried- and for £1 what have you got to loose? Let me know if any of you have tried out any lashes from Primark or if you have any other false eyelash brands you could recommend I would love to try them out!

Quick Fix Facials Review

I have always had troubles with my skin all the way through my teens and it was only recently that i have found what the problem was. I have very dry skin which i've always knew but it was not till recently that i found out that that was the reason that my skin appeared red and blotchy in areas- due to it being so dry. After that ive used so many heavy moisturisers and hydrating face masks in order to get my skin rehydrated.

In the beginning i thought that forking out lots of money to get the best skin care was the only way to improve it, and dont get me wrong the Origins drink up intensive is a life saver and has completely improved my skin. However recently i have been testing some cheaper drugstore alternatives to see if they are just as effective at a more affordable price and boy am i glad i did!! While browsing in my local boots i found the Quick Fix Facial face mask range for around £3.00 a tube its a complete steal.

This product comes in a range for all different skin types from acne prone skin to oily to extremely dry. Obviously i went for the one for dry skin and i would recommend it so any other dry skin sufferers as it is a skin saver and nearly as good as the Origins one at a fraction of the price.

The product is a thick consistancy that you apply thickly to the skin and leave on for around 10 minutes. When on the skin the product feels so refreshing and hydrating that i never want to take it off. The thing that i like most about this product is that it does not harden up to the point of not being able to move your face which i never enjoy. The product is easy to wash off and since it is clear it does not stain any cloth or towel you use unlike a mud mask or coloured mask that does.
I have not tried any of the other ones from the range as they dont match my skin type but if they are anything like the one for dry skin i would definately try them out!

Let me know if any of you have tried out this product and loved it as much as i did, especially the other face masks from the range as i would love to give them a try!

After lusting over the beautiful white strapless jumpsuit in topshop for months wishing i had the £60 to spend on it.
